Biosphere 2

A collective project with Vivien Pöhls documenting Biosphere 2 — an experimental, closed ecological system built in the Arizona desert in the early 1990s. The layout of the book and the app shifts vertically, reflecting the gradual critical drop in oxygen levels inside the biosphere over several months. It brings together a range of materials — interviews, press articles, scientific papers, archival images, and documentary stills. Red and green are used to highlight the voices of critics and supporters of the project.
